Should be online again this evening at home. Will let you know.

Based on experience over the last few days, 3G will work now and everything will appear normal ... until 18:00 or 19:00 :/

Looking ok so far. SO reported some issues round about 19:30, but it seems ok now.

It's the denial that gets me. You jump through all the hoops. The signal is fine. And yet you have a service that makes working on the net absolutely miserable. In my area it's a pretty regular 7.00pm to 9.00pm problem. To many people connected/not enough net.

Whatever!

Stop pretending the problem is our side. Just tell us the system is congested - you've got to know it, surely.

Grandmother just called me...she says she could connect to internet yesterday and today she cant anymore. U guys know of any probems in knysna area? She syas it says "connection to server could not be established"or something like that.

Its a bit difficult to help her since im all the way in jhb. Just thought there might be a problem!

I guess not getting an answer from the Provider is an answer in itself.

I hate this area, as a fine service elsewhere is pretty bad here. Almighty profit margins might not justify decent service here which is bad enough and me paying for a service that really sucks here in this area is worse.

I haven't had any problems with mine. I just killed my iBurst month-month because the speeds I was getting were ludicrously slow. It took me 19 hours to download a 343MB update to my operating system. But my Vodacom 3G is working beautifully. Which is a relief since there's no way I can get ADSL and iBurst is an iBust.

Good afternoon everyone.

I'm having problems accessing www.phonereport.info, but it's fine with www.nokian96.net which is in the same server. I contacted my host and they say I must contact my ISP, which is Vodacom. I'm on the internet APN with HSDPA.

I can access it using international proxies, and my colleagues in Portugal can also access it. So I presume it's either local problem or a Vodacom issue.

Here's a printscreen of the trace route the host technicians told me to do:

Firstly, I would not call myself 'Jinx'. You're bound to attract negative vibes. :)

How do you normally connect, via phone, data card? Pre-paid or contract, which APN do you use? Lot of details needed.

What results do you see on http://speed.vodacom.co.za.

With more details, we'll be able to help.

The Kzn guys do tend to follow these posts, but they'll not be able to comment without details. They're probably in bed by now, so I'll need to mail them (think the sun's set already by you?)

Getting 619 errors on 3G/HSDPA here. When connect, data throughput is almost not existent - can't even get to speed test page:(.

Can connect on GPRS.

Device: E220
APN: internet and internetvpn

3G Not Working

Hi

Is anybody else having the same issue where you cannot connect via 3G.
"Connection to remote host could not be established". Get this on several devices.
