Fine, don't send me your reference numbers then.@shadowfox, glamprecht and InquisitorJax: Please PM me your reference numbers, I want to forward them to the technician attending to this.
Hmm, I am having serious problems with Vodacom today ... can't even open up speed.vodacom.co.za
DNS resolution seems to be a problem, absolutely no data coming down, but there is some activity upstream.
IP: 41.31.251.228
Midrand area
Connected with a MC950D, 3G only profile. I normally get around 2.8Mb down, and 1Mb up
mdma stats:
Signal strength: -81dBm
Cell ID: 10531
EDIT: IP 41.27.130.73 also bust, so is 41.31.174.34
I am starting to think it's the area I am in
I managed to get a 41.27.x.y IP again, same tower as yesterday, and everything is dead
v3g, can you check this for us please?
Can you maybe do a short summary? Not sure if I'll get it right from your various posts.
Basically you suspect IP range?
Pretty much yes ... feels like my iBurst days
When connected to certain IP ranges, up to now its been 41.31 and 41.27, the connection is just dead (can't even do the speedtest on Vodacom's site). I managed to get a 41.29 IP sometime during this period (same tower as when I had problems [ID 10531]) and then the connection was fine.
So based on the above, I don't think it is tower related, but rather some of the IP ranges that might be problematic
Was chatting to ginggs lat night and he wondered if you are seeing the same thing as seen before in Cpt.
Basically, HTTP stops working but all other protocols still work; ICMP, FTP, HTTPS, etc.
Seen anything like this?

I've got the same kark as 3 posts back... vodacom speed test seems fine but Speedtest.net is slow as hell. V3G, any idea as to what might be causing this? Speedtest down is now 0.32 megabits and up is 0.11

Well I'm in Bellville, Cape Town and recently I'm down to 1 bar or no signal.
I'm having problems connecting in Cape Town CBD - Strand Street.
Can see a strong 3G network, but can't connect. Was working really well earlier today in Pinelands.
