Vodacom slashes data prices

Vodacom has cut its 30-day data bundle prices by up to 40%, the company announced.

It will also provide free data to access essential services through Vodacom’s zero-rated platform ConnectU, with immediate effect. The ConnectU platform is live from today.

As someone who has been with Telkom for many years these price cuts are minor compared to what I get from Telkom.

Something is not right Vodacom didn't reduce 500MB price

Jeepers.......if 5GB is R349 now, what the heck was it before??!!

R99 for 1GB is still way too much. With their Shake!up Summer promo, that has been running for months, every time you shake you get the option of buying 1GB for R15. I think it is only valid for 1 day/week, and not 30 days. But at that time the normal prepaid 1GB was R150. So how do they offer the same amount of data for 10% of the price and still complain that they cannot reduce prices due to spectrum. Obviously they are making lots of money on data.

Likewise.

Let's hope Telkom respond and drop their prices too.

They need to compensate for the loss in value of FreeMe...

Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, that's still a bit expensive ek se ! But thanks for nothing anyway.... :sneaky: :sneaky:

I'm confused, I've been paying R99 for 1GB for over a year now. So where exactly is the saving :/

Look at Vodacoms pricing in the Centre.

Now take out your calculator and compare pricing with the adverts on the left and right side.

What a great April Fools Joke :laugh::ROFL:

Hi Most of us pay under R10 a Gig for LTE Data but since you have been paying R99 - no change to to your pocket.

You can continue to pay R99 but you can have data at R10 a Gig for now.

As you become more involved in the fight for lower Mobile Data prices with the rest of us we will introduce you to R2 and R3 a Gig of Mobile Data in South Africa.
