Vodacom slashes broadband prices
Vodacom has quietly cut its mobile data prices to be more in line with MTN’s big data sale

eh?New prices not valid in Lesotho?
What is so "curious" about this? VC's larger bundles have historically been more expensive per Mb than smaller packages. (I'm not sure about the last few years though, but when they raped me it was certainly the case.)Curiously, Vodacom’s per-MB price for a 2GB data package (4.8c) is lower than the per-MB price for a 3GB package (5.5c).

Good points - 7x more expensive!Contract pricing has to be really cheap like 8ta's deal to be worth it.
The 8ta R299 package for 20GB works out to 0.67c per MB. A deal that has been around for almost 2 years.
Vodacom has "slashed" their contract prices for the umpteenth time but their cheapest price now works out to 2.41c per mb. I've included their night owl here to give them an extra 2GB. i.e 4GB for R99. The 8ta contract is a top-up contract however whilst you can't get the extra 2GB night owl from Vodacom on top-up. So people run risks of going OOB at R1000 per GB if they go for the Vodacom standard contract just to score the extra 2GB night owl.
So if you want a zero risk of OOB contract for a family member, the cheapest Vodacom pricing is 4.83c per mb. Over 7 times more expensive per mb than 8ta.
