I have been a Vodacom customer for 10 years+ but never before I had such bad connectivity on the network as the last 2 months, 4g or dropping calls. I seen the load shedding excuses they came up with, not for 2 months on a row guys.

I am due for an upgrade in April but am seriously considering abandoning them after being a customer for 10 years. Anyone else experiencing a similar service degradation?

What provider I can switch to that does seem to keep good connectivity as "the best network" has taken a serious knock in their service delivery.

I have both Vodacom and MTN for the very same reason, just waiting for MTN to introduce Wifi Calling then im jumping ship as well. Calls are extremely clear over the last year or two mainly due to VoLTE/ HD Calling and the data speeds are far better. Signal was terrible in my area on both, now I get close to 100 mb a second from my bed on a Galaxy S10 on MTN whereas Vodacom is just getting worse.

Spent 2 days in KWT last week. Vodacom has become slow as hell there too. Rarely see 4g or LTE anymore. Mainly 3g and slower..... :(

I have the same problem with Vodacom and I'm on the road a lot.The service is an absolute disgrace.

I cancelled my Vodacom fibre due to the same reason. The last couple of months it's been dreadful. In the evenings it became completely unusable.

Seems to be the norm now with most of these providers. I also noticed extreme slow service in the evenings.

Also find Vodacom to be very unreliable recently. In Sandton and surrounding areas. No issues with MTN and actually Telkom is more reliable than Vodacom these days

struggling so much with Vodacom...
Stellies, kleinmond, somerset west. I cant even consume 100MEG of data on my phone - Instagram just keeps loading and I dont get content but my data depletes ?!

text msg from Vodascum - you have 70meg left, second later, data has ran out BUT I cant even consume content on my apps??? news24 dont even load correctly and whatsapp just keeps saying - connecting, 60% of the time.
(brand new phone)

I thought I was the only one struggling with random disconnects and annoying slowdowns as of late. My Cell C connection is more stable and that is really saying something. We've never had the best connection because of our remote location, so I'm not expecting a miracle, but it's getting to the point where Vodacom is becoming unusable here in the North West.

My last post disappeared lol. Anyway, I was in the former Ciskei today. And Vodacom was on LTE most of the day. Maybe they doing maintenance and fixing stuff :)

no - no one is fixing anything and I am ready to bet my straw hat on that!
I have full bars and on 4G (iphone 8) and I cant use my app at all on mobile. looking at my phone now (Stellies) and Instagram just keeps loading. whatsapp show "connecting"with turning icon. I have 600meg on my phone.

switching off my mobile and re enabling it seemed to have fix the "connecting" issue - but still waiting for stuff to load on Instagram. full bars on 4G

In the same boat as all of you. Vodacom had gotten worse last year, and this year it seems to be getting even more so. There has been no improvement in their connectivity or service. And it's not like I live in the middle of no where, I stay in Fourways. Only thing I can think of is over congestion within the area? But who knows. Time to jump ship once my contract expires. Thank goodness for fibre.

I hear all of you, same problems here, nightmare. As I mentioned in another post their LTE data is throttled 1000 fold. I was just told to activate VoLTE.. As if that will help data in any way.

The network quality has taken a nosedive. Calls don't even ring sometimes goes straight to voicemail get an SMS 20 minutes later telling me missed call

I have been struggling with Vodacom for a bit now. But mine is due to the fact that our coverage by the house is dodge. Phone keeps jumping from 4G to 3G, and in that process Volte keeps turning on and off. Calls drops a lot. What I had done was downloaded a app called "ForceLTE". My phone now clings to 4G like dried crap to a towel. Signal is very weak, but stragely my data connection (use phone as hotspot for working from home) and call quality on Volte even with such low signal is good and very usable.
