Vodacom will be in Top 40 when it lists

The combination of the Telkom share price, Vodacom share price and the R19 dividend per Telkom share means that you will at least make your money back. Thereafter you are in for the longhaul wait. Telkom price must drop, but will recover (not to its current price) depending on its future plans - remember it now owns MultiLinks in Nigeria and that is included in it current and future share price. Vodacom price will go up especially now that they will not be restricted in their Africa expansion plans.

Telkom share price dropped to half the value it was on Friday and with it my 10k is now worth 5k:(.

No it is not. Add the value of the Telkom and Vodacom shares together (R60,50 + R58,80). Next week you will be getting 1 Vodacom share for every Telkom share you own, plus R19 tax-free dividend per every Telkom share that you have.

Yes, I know that, buts what's the chances of Telkom getting back to the R100+ value per share anytime soon?
