Does anybody have a problem with data vanishing on a iphone?
I've upgraded on the 9th to the iPhone 4s. I bought a 250Mb data bundle and started using the phone once it was activated. According to the iPhone usage counter I have used until 5pm today a wobbly 69MB. I checked my Dataman app and it said I've used 66MB. This is TX and RX totals. I use the Onavo app and Opera Mini to even lessen the data usage and I switch of the location services. I even download apps via iTunes on the computer.
So great was my surprise as I logged on to Vodacom were they so graciously tell me that I have used ONLY 157MB!! WTF??
Now my question is as follows: Is iPhone and Dataman junk and can they not calculate the amount of data send and received or is Vodacom just blatantly stealing my data? We are talking of about 90MB in three days that I did not use! Is this how Vodacom make their cheaper data bundles sustainable by stealing a little here and a little there?
Sorry, but I can not think that Apple can not calculate usage on their phone.
Any thoughts?
