voice message???

Hope someone can help me with this.

This morning as I was in bed still... mac on, but displays off.. I voice message or prompt was played.

first three 'ping' like sound and a female voice saying "........ has been detected"

the first word I could not make out but it sounds as if she said drugs has been detected :wtf: lol

any way I got up and turned on the display but there was no message/popup or anything out of the ordinary

None of my Mac's have told me that they have detected drugs, maybe it's because there are no drugs here. It could have told me that it detected cold beers in the fridge, but it hasn't told me that either

Seriously...you probably have one of the voice alerts activated. I have voice alerts activated for time announcements, which I find handy. You will need to go to System Preferences, under system go to speech and dig around there and see what has been activated.

Let us know - if it truly is some kind of covert feature that allows it to detect stuff, I would be interested to hear - not for drugs, maybe it can detect other things.....future lucky lottery numbers would be cool

threat has been detected? Either NOD have just built "hand of NOD" or your antivirus may have been trying to tell you something?

I think it's the AV in windows, cos im running win7 on parallels!
