Voicy does Norway

Just go to Norway in the summer then (our winter). The temperatures are comparable to ours, maybe you can convince her because it'd be winter here but summer there.

Yeah man, it was almost 30 in Bergen last week. 23 in Oslo...and even at 18 degrees here it's nice and hot. Perfect for being outside.

I want to really go and visit Norway (preferably do a boat cruise through Scandinavia).

You should give the Hurtigruten a try. In summer you'll experience the midnight sun and if you go in winter they'll give you a free ticket if you DONT see northern lights during the cruise.

Yup, the weather was great when I was in Oslo. Have you been to Vigeland park yet?

Nah sadly not. Oslo is a 2 day drive South of me. I usually drive straight through Oslo to other jobs, never get time to stop in it. Only been at the opera house while catching the train to the airport.

I badly wanna go to Vigeland Park and see that giant fighting off those babies. Now that's art! hahaha

I also wanna see the 3 swords statue in Stavanger. Never knew about it while I was there last.

Definitely worth spending a day there. The locals take those disposable braais or a picnick, the place is huge.

The statues are quite freaky. The guy punching and kicking the babies is kinda hilarious, there's also a tower of naked people in the center of the park.

See this thread was a good idea :D

When you can post some food pics, tell us what's nice, what's horrible etc

Edit: We should get Lycanthrope to do a Swedish thread.

What happened to Lycan? I have not seen him for a long time. Had him in the Telegram Tgay group for a while but then he vanished.

Does Scandinavia not have very yummy pastries and sweet goodies? I think I saw some yummy looking Scandinavian deserts somewhere. Not so sure about cooked dishes though. Iceland follows Scandinavian culinary tradition I think and there they eat boiled sheep heads. /runs away screaming

Forget the food. Some of those nude statues in that Vigeland park look right up your ally :D

Nice pics, and thanks for sharing your experiences. Looks like a great place to visit one day.

Ke?

Ok, this is not the place ... dont want to turn voicy's nice thread gay :-)

Why not? There's no issue. Plenty of hot blondes here to keep me on the straight and narrow so to speak. :p

Tbh I prefer SA cooked foor, but the area I live in is full of Salmon farms, so it's cheap and abundant. I've also eaten whale meat...very difficult to identify the taste...my favourite by far is finjebiff...moose stew with mushroom sauce. Holy crap that stuff is awesome. They also sometimes make it with reindeer...also not bad.

I'll post some work pics just now to show it's not all just one big holiday.

I say we make the next JHB meet @ Voicy's place.

RPM ... how much you gonna sponsor us? :D

Haha that would be something. I've got the bandwidth to cover a livestream for the event in case he needs to generate sponsorship revenue. :p

It's costing me around R900 a month for a set top box "dstv" type thing with 60 channels on my 75/75Mbps uncapped fiber line at my house, but I'm almost never home to use it. :/
