Hey guys

I am in dire need of a friend or mentor that is willing to help me out with VoIP setup.
I am currently running an Elastix server on VirtualBox, I can make calls to other extensions but I am struggling to make outbound calls.
This is not the only problem I see myself running into though, because I have big plans for my implementation.
If there is someone here or someone that you know that I could call or meet please throw me an inbox or reply here :)

Hi

I have a trunk setup with the following parameters:
OUTBOUND:
username=2787XXXXXXX
type=friend
secret=2XXXXXX
insecure=very
host=vphone.co.za
dtmfmode=rfc2833
disallow=all
allow=ulaw&alaw
canredirect=no
canreinvite=no

I eventually get a message when trying to make a call:
"All circuits are busy now, please try your call again later."

Welcome to Elastix

Elastix is a product meant to be configured through a web browser.
Any changes made from within the command line may corrupt the system
configuration and produce unexpected behavior; in addition, changes
made to system files through here may be lost when doing an update.

To access your Elastix System, using a separate workstation (PC/MAC/Linux)
Open the Internet Browser using the following URL:

There is also a bunch of other warnings on the output.
I suspect it has to do with the register string, the one I currently have is:
2787XXXXXXX:[email protected]

Ok, just the peer part will do:
WozacomTrunk/27878089890 (Unspecified) Auto (No) No 0 Unmonitored
3 sip peers [Monitored: 2 online, 0 offline Unmonitored: 0 online, 1 offline]

It looks offline, or the qualify=yes didn't apply yet. Try core reload then check.
Check if you can ping/trace through to the host IP.

Okay so I had my Elastix's MAC address blocked on my router. (Stupid I know haha).
Anyway, I removed the blockage and can now ping servers and see addons again.
The SIP trunk is still not registering though.
localhost*CLI> sip show peers

localhost*CLI>
Any other ideas?
When I try to ping "vphone.co.za" I get 100% packet loss

Okay, so I removed the "context=from-trunk" (one of my various testing methods) and it works now!
Thanks guys
