you know what... I am friendly with a certain black lady who has ties with some big names in your majority. It would be interesting to ask her including a couple of my other black colleagues and hear what they say about this topic. There are many Indians, Coloured and Black people in our business, and never have i heard them refer to anybody as NON-African, perhaps as white or black yes.

Intriguing, and also didn't take him long to backtrack(sort of) on something he said. Initially you claim its the majority that call us non-African, now its FIFA and Germany... very very interesting.

The point I make is that for what ever reason you give as why all races in SA are African, their recogniton and usage are getting less and less. In SA, and overseas.

If you do not believe, wait and see in less than 4 years's time!

With all due respect, I think you are incorrect.

To add to your theory being shot down, I have lived in Canada for over 18 years and I have met people of all nations, black, brown, white, yellow, purple and many shades in between.

I have lived in 3 large cities and travelled all over Canada and I have never met a black person who was born in Canada who has ever referred to themselves as an African.

They always say if asked, I am Canadian and they say it proudly.

Your belief that only black people in Africa have the right to call themselves African is misguided. Why don't you just keep it simple and say that you are South African and leave it at that?

I'm in the medical business, and given the hard facts: "losing strength slowly" and "Numbers count" also don't bode well as your Majority, will become the minority as HIV & Drug resistant TB is rampant due to miss information, bad education, bad policy made by government regarding the treatment and recognition of those diseases.

I'm not saying every single black person has HIV/Aids & TB, however Anybody can get those diseases, but... as you like to point to statistics : your Majority are dropping like flies - cold hard fact. your majority will be a minority within the next 20 - 30 years!. - its really an ugly mess!. Nobody deserves what's coming!.

Even if our policy makers had to come up with a strategy to curb infection rate, there will be HUGE losses, and South Africa will very much be different no matter who wishes to proclaim "We're the Majority"

This is not a fight for dominance, this is a fight to co-exist with one another and make the right choices! By slinging around the NON theory doesn't help our ultimate goal. - and yes i didnt want to say it, but it is a racist view no matter my heritage.

Non africans are light skinned.It is not about where you were born.

So what exactly do we call Egyptians/Morrocons and those bunch up north on the AFRICAN CONTINENT ? Last i checked they're even lighter skinned than coloureds? Let me guess, Egyptians like to be called Middle-Easterners rather than Africans....i wonder why ;)

If Non-African means :
(a) Non-Banana Republican
(b) Non-Constantly Killing Each Other
(c) Non-Corrupt
(d) Non-Racist
(e) Non-Materialistic [actually know what to do with money and not just buying black BMWs all the time]
(f) Non-Sheep-Voter

..then yes i'm a non-african.
