This time around, my ID book was not stamped.

I assumed that the IEC had decided not to stamp ID books due to there being no way to stamp the new ID cards (which makes it somewhat pointless to stamp ID books when the ID cards are not being stamped).

The thumb inker person did not do a proper job of inking my thumb at all: it's mostly on the nail and about 1mm on the cuticle, it would be easy to scrape the ink off the nail and try my luck at voting again (I would just have to flash the printed barcode scanner slip at a distance and then convince the officials that they erroneously crossed off my name on the voters roll).

Father was not on the voters roll despite voting there before not sure if it makes a difference but he added his address during the last registration time , had to fill in some forms and was allowed to vote
 
Took less than 30 minutes, very efficient service, good police presence in Randpark Ridge.

My address was listed incorrectly, had to fill out a form to update my address details after casting my vote.

Where in Randpark Ridge is the station?
 
In and out in 20 minutes. The longest wait was inside where the queue with surnames beginning with M was 10 people long. Tables for other letters had 1 or 2 voters waiting.

Voting stations were shuffled around this year so neighbours who voted at the centre in our road for 40 years now have to go to a school. This morning people were leaving the school to go back this afternoon. Shocking queues, not moving at all. Also one scanner.

Erm... mine was stamped.
 
If you havent voted yet, there's still time. Stations close at 7.

SMS your ID to 32810 to find out where you're registered.
 
Scanner operator appeared to not know what she was doing. There were 2 scanners there, but only one operator. She kept tapping keys, then Esc, then another key. But very few people there at 12h30, maybe 10 in the hall including a cop who had gone to sleep
 
5 minutes. Roosevelt side. Took longer to walk to the building cuz I wanted to park outside
 
Guys, I'm serious, what scanner? Other than some magic marker on my thumb which is long gone, and a pencil stripe through my name on a printed list, nothing else was done. The guy checked we had a registration stcker in our ID books, and that was it. No scan, no stamp.

The mark on my thumb is also nearly gone. They scanned my ID as I entered the building, got a slip which the next bloke verified against me (also stating I look nothing like my ID photo but it was taken when I was in school still), then they ruled through my name on the voters roll after which I received my ballot to cast my vote after getting the merkie on my thumb.

No stamp either besides the stamps of the voting station on the back of the ballot

They scan your ID while in the queue and give you a number. They use that number to look up nyour name on a manifest to cross it off when they hand you the ballots. At that point they also stamp your ID book.
