So glad I cancelled. VOX "upgraded" their network and everything is fixed ? Ja, right. And April fools has come again ...

If anything, with all that packet loss, I would say it is worse than before.
 
Sad that it has come to this.

I see myBB ran a story today about Afrihost and slow speeds - why can't they do something on VOX, which is FAR worse.
 
I am getting SO over all these issues. And this is capped DSL too... What do you do!? Are there ANY ISP's out there that offer a product which works more than it doesn't??

My MyBB issues are on the bolt on

Mine never got better tbh.

I've got the Fat pipe capped with the Uncapped bolt-on.
For me it starts hitting slow speed between 6 and 7 pm when it switches over. Not too bad before that speed wise except the fact that one can't get to certain sites.

I'm going to drop any form of uncapped now and move away from Vox - the experience with getting comms from them, getting the issue checked sorted etc was the worse I've experienced so far from any ISP. It really seemed that the people on the floor was out of their depth regarding what to tell the customer. It didn't inspire confidence.
When the service was running properly -I never had to deal with them and was quite pleased but now not so much.
Uncapped gets throttled / shaped and there is no way around that on any ISP in RSA at the moment.
I'll go pure capped and see how much data etc I really use and then adjust from there.

All I want is low latency so I can game and good streaming.
 
Tried gaming last night for first time in a while on the Vox,what a frustrating experience. 1k ms plus >:)
Switched back to R99 IS uncapped and back down to 300ms
 
I am just really amazed that Voxy said "the network has been upgraded and everything should be fine" and then come Monday evening, nothing has changed (seemingly) for users going through their South IPC.

Then this is followed up with a "all users still experiencing problems contact me directly and send me your account details".

3 weeks now, this is ridiculous.

Fatpipe (for poor sods who go through cape town) every evening from 6-11pm ... is broken. As others have mentioned, this seems rule based and fairly automated.

The lack of proper technical feedback is shocking, myBB users are not a stupid bunch.

Anyhow, we should have seen the writing on the wall when the fatipe T&C's changed suddenly at the beginning of September (iirc) and no longer state that the product is unshaped.

We all know where this is going. Time to cancel and move on.

I only passively check this thread every once and a while, am I right in assuming it's still only the people in the Cape with issues or are there people in the north with issues as well?

Not bolt-on, just normal Fat Pipe.
