PS. Was great while it lasted, but now it's probably the worst I've ever experienced. Sad to see it come to this, I really thought fatpipe was the answer for decent capped access in SA.
 
Just got a call from a VOX support agent to ask "if my ADSL was still giving me problems or has it improved".

I said no, and I've sent my cancellation through, the service is non-existent every evening after 6pm and this has been going on for weeks.

She then said "oh ok, can I close this support ticket then".

I said "sure, do whatever you want, I've sent through my cancellation".

Never. Cease. To. Be. Amazed.

Did they confirm cancellation? Emails to them seem to drop off the earth.
 
Trying to finish my cap before the end of the month. Speeds were fine then just took a dive, anyone else seeing slow throughput in Cape Town? Especially on international.

Maxing out at around 500KB/sec on a 40Mbit line :/

I'm seeing slow throughput and terrible ping on basically all my test accounts. Are guys in Cape Town able to verify?

Mine came right after a while, seems there was hiccup between 10 and 11.

Hi Everyone,

Due to the overwhelming response we have received for Fat Pipe, we have had to upgrade our network and are awaiting upstream installation to be completed.
We are hoping to have it resolved by next week.

Before doing anything that impacts customers you guys should plan and then notify users paying for your service that you will be doing maintenance or upgrades, so they know what to expect.
Pretty amateur if that really was the issue. I expected more from a company such as VOX Telecoms.
In either case since the upgrade is not done yet I'm happy to see I can now at least browse to mybroadband.
 
Do they do discounts if you "bundle" your v/dsl line with them?

Want to get a 150GB fatpipe account with a 20mbps vdsl connection....
