Vox Telecom Fatpipe

We are doing some work to improve service at present. Will advise shortly.

Hopefully to include improvement to the bolt-on as well ? (as this is the only thread you reply to - for eg., with ref to: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...pped-bolt-on-feedback?p=16894291#post16894291).

Just did a minor test using a Web Africa account (2.5Mbps line) : opened a random YouTube vid. & although it defaulted to 480p, I changed to 720p and after a few secs. there was no buffering, and the progress bar was moving along & opening up, quickly. Comparatively on Vox these days, even at 480p, the bar opens up extremely slowly & 720p usually results in more buffer as the vid. continues .. Vox was more like Web A's up until about a month ago.

Earlier, even web pages, whether local or o/seas, were struggling to open on Vox.

grrr...on a 30mpbs VDSL profile and youtube is buffering at 480p. Twitch opens but nothing streams...also had problems in Diablo where the game is just unresponsive. All of this while speedtests local and international shows normal performance.

Well I have the Raspbian Linux distro downloading at a blindingly fast 0.1KBs.
Thanks to VOX the Raspberry Pi 3 will be released before my Pi 2 has finished installing its OS.

Also the mobile Apps don't mention anything about the issues, isn't that one of the reasons the app exists, for notifications!?!

Think VOX are going to set a new record, quickest uptake by new customers, and quickest cancellations by said new customers in a 6 month period.

Can't even stream 360p on YouTube...Switch to axxess account and stream at 1080p no issues.....F$%K YOU VOX

Wow, connection is completely FUBAR this morning. What on earth is going on?

Good morning.

Due to unforseen circumstances our team had to stop the investigation early this morning.

A failure occurred on the upstream services providers network which is still in progress.

We are working closely with the provider to resolve the fault. Once completed we will continue our work to improve quality of service.

Regards,
Michael
