Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Everything seems pretty much dead for me at the moment

Thats weird. Everything is 100% this side. I was stuck with ~2.5mbit internet since the big fibre breaks. Got back from work and it was smooth sailing.
 
does anyone have speed/latency issues specific to PSN (Playstation Network) - I am not quite sure if this is a VOX or PSN issue and seems to have been particularly bad since the Seacom outage. Regular speed-tests and surfing speed is perfectly fine though...

I am starting to think that we are all on different backbones. Friend is on vox his net is fine... mine is bad. I then get full speed his is dead.

When he runs speed test he gets business data as his isp i get vox data.

I am still getting erratic performance with full speeds to sudden slowdowns or timeouts.

That's interesting. I am also on the Business Data IP range. Pings are back to normal, been testing *real world* download scenarios and it does seem like a struggle to get full line speed, maxing at about 7.5-8mb/s.

Has there been any reports about whats actually going on?

my axxess and cybersmart accounts work 100% all the time

had my port reset several times.

reported a fault with telkom.

still my only problem = vox

Then I have no idea, also in the Free State so we are connected to the same IPC and I'm doing 1080P streaming and downloading at 1.2MB/s as I type.
 
Any advice on how one gets VOX support to respond to a query?

My card payment failed for some strange reason and my account got suspended as I missed the email notification thinking its a statement.

Paid immediately by EFT and sent a note to VOX support asking to re-enable my account. That was yesterday morning at about 7 and so far all I have received is an automated notification.

Not looking good next to CrystalWeb who both times I mailed answered in under an hour...

I just tried to make payment and my card has also failed. Will do an EFT but this needs to be sorted out quickly.
 
Mine was ok last night. Downloads were running above 700k at around 19:00. Could also stream Netflix at 1080p

Hmm not good. Well let's see when I get home tonight. If all else fails I will just jump ship until the new ISP also get issues. Looks like this is a new trend in SA

Just testing here, I have cancelled with Vox today, and have 2 accounts with them. I won't be able to use all my rollover data by end of next month. Can I share one of these accounts with anyone for the data to be used? Just not sure of legalities and then risks. Thanks
 
Well I just tried mine for the fist time in ages and I can't even open https://www.voxtelecom.co.za/
I just get a web page not available screen, if left alone, after a few minutes it then loads but very slowly.

Telkom account still flying along with downloads constantly hitting 1.02MBs on a 10 meg line.
