Maybe there's congestion or some work at the exchange or Telkom needs to do a port reset. PM TelkomZA to have a look at it if the problem is still there in the morning.

Can confirm annoying issues on Vox where streaming 1080p is a mission and gaming latency to EU is ~230ms instead of the usual 190.

Switching to my backup Telkom account resolves both issues. I'm on 100mbps fiber.

Late last night I was able to stream again. So I am not certain what was fault. At least ots working again.

Full line speed but streaming has been bad. Now my Whatsapp media won't download.

I had that on the weekend and for the life of me I couldnt figure out what the hell was going on!!! I thought maybe my WA was broken or something,... Went onto Cellular and BOOM, all my images downloaded fine!!

Been taking strain with VOX 20mbps VDSL. Recently moved the line from Afrihost to VOX and I'm rarely getting anything above 5megs. Having to do a soft reboot / reset through the modems browser settings page or a port reset. All of our entertainment runs is reliant on a connection, so everyones on edge at the moment

Would getting a new router help, currently using a TP-Link w9970? I know ADSL is rubbish in RSA, but we don't have fibre in Jozi south yet.

Any advice??

Telkom guy asked me to bypass my filter. Test results before and after bypassing the filter was almost exactly the same. I am able to stream tonight.

How is that with a speed still above 20mb you get streaming issues or the like? Surely that is way more then what is required for e.g 1080p stream. Someone please explain this to me. I am confused.

Great idea! According to VOX techy yesterday, Telekom has been doing some infrastructure upgrades and ADSL has been affected all over. Seems to be as wide spread as the republic of Cape Town. Although I'd welcome 27mbps for a 40mbps line vs my 3mbps for a 20mbps line
