Vox Telecom Fatpipe

I got 8 min into a 45 min documentary and it stopped dead, not just stuttering but no throughput at all.

EDIT:
This stinks of shaping.
I decided, as an experiment, to download rather than stream the file.
The same line, same server and same ISP the file that stuttered and the stopped as a stream downloaded at 1MB/s.
VOX constantly clam it is unshaped but all the evidence, especially on weekends, shows the opposite, Streaming is throttled but downloads run at line speed.

Vox working good again.

It may be for you but my streaming speed is now down to 1.78KBs If i let it buffer I should be able to watch it this time next week.
I wish I still had my dialup account as a backup.

Sheesh guys, I've been running fatpipe for months on end without any problems. It outperforms my capped Telkom account by miles.

Only gripe is I have 2.1 TB data again since this morning :D

Like wise, mine going like a boeing, can't complain :)

Same. Poor me, sitting with 2.5 Tb of rollover. What to do, what to do...:p

Hi VOX,

I would like to know why VOX Telecommunications PTY (Ltd) is stealing data from me?

Recently I've been getting throttled before the end of the month, EVERY month and I cant understand why, so I started inspecting my daily usage a little closer, I could see I am using close to 50GB on some days, ALL of which is UPLOAD...

So I started disconnecting all my devices one by one from the network, to the point that all i had connected was my laptop to watch the data usage. even then I was using HUGE amounts of Upload data, so when i went away this weekend i used it as an opportunity to see if even though nobody was home and with ALL devices disconnected and my wireless networks disabled, according to VOX's daily useage i managed to use a whopping 11GB on the 6th and and even more astounding 40+GB on the 7th???

SO PLEASE VOX TELL ME, WHAT IN GODS NAME IS UPLOADING 150+GB IN AUGUST ALONE?

onedrive, google drive, dropbox, icloud,.......?

Or someone else has your login details. You can check current and historical connections and which phone lines have been active on your account in the portal.

Where do i check historical connections in my Portal?

Also make sure you don't have an unsecured / insecure Wifi AP, which someone may be taking advantage of.

Check if you aren't running torrents,

Some people tend to forget about it then 10 movies seed (upload) and that just chows data

If it's doing it with all devices disconnected then it could be one of two things:

1) Somebody else is using your data
2) Somebody is using your incorrectly configured router for a dns amplification attack or the likes thereof.

Anyone on Openserve Fibre with VOX on a larger line? 100mbps?

Curious to know what the performance is like.

I'm using it on a 100MBps line

Thanks - looks impressive, though every single ISP nowadays appears to give the highest possible traffic priority on their network for local speedtest connections :)

How's the performance to the EU / US speedtest servers, and general browsing / streaming / downloading if you do any?

80Mbps down on NZB's but that is limited by my block account. Can stream in 4K no buffering etc
Everything else works as it should
Can't comment on gaming

Pretty much all I needed to know - thank you :)

For those of you interested... Iron's issue was a DNS amplification attack. Easy enough to test for, just input your IP into http://openresolver.com/?ip=

In this case it was a misconfigured Mikrotik.
