VOX is on my shortlist, or was - not quite too sure what to think at the moment. I suspect it's an upstream provider issue, especially if what I've read about their backbone being truly their own??

I think I'll wait it out before deciding on a potential new ISP...
(currently with Cybersmart and Afrihost)

When it works, it's a pleasure, when it doesn't, you will cry in frustration.

From my side it seems like the issue might have been resolved overnight as my download speeds and pings are back to where they should be. I'm hoping that it lasts...

Yes! Going to Hetzner through is.jinx.net.za again this morning and everything's flying.

Interestingly Auth errors today on all 3 my fatpipe accounts. Logged in via 3G and reset the passwords to the exact same pw and mysteriously working again.

I had the Samsung promo 1TB and it rocked!!! After it finished i moved to a 200GB Fatpipe package and since then my ping has gone from 30ms to 60ms and my downloads from 20mbps to ave of 15mbps and uploads from 1mbps to 0.8mbps. I have cancelled my account as from 01 April 2015 will be going back to Afrihost capped accounts since my pings stayed the same at 25 to 30ms and my downloads at 20mbps and uploads at 1mbps. Sad really since it was awesome product but think it's due to congestion on their system.

Had huge pings last night and was also not able to get to mybb. the first time i saw that issue. I logged a call and they are aware of the issues on fatpipe which is a good thing i guess. now we just have to wait it out until issue is resolved. there is nothsing more we can do really other then switching to other ISP.

I did send support an email but that was over a week ago and they are waiting for me to send trace routes. So was wondering if the email was in general or specific to support tickets.

I see the high pings start at around 7pm and ends at 9-1opm.
I know it's not exchange related due to other accounts from various isp working just fine.
The account works fine except for in game latency which is a big concern.
The rest of the time the account is great.

Thanks Vox for always keeping us up to date with problems on the network and solving them fast. You're always first to reply here. Always transparent with what the problem is. It is lovely dealing with an ISP that is so open and willing to communicate problems.

Looks like the issues may have been resolved. Just got a phonecall from Riaan at VOX.

Speeds looks good, will have to test again tonight.

And yes those are correct. Telkom FTTH line, 100Mbps down, 10Mbps up.
