Vox Telecom Fatpipe

I was with them for months through all of the promises and band aids.
Power cycle your router became and standing joke.

Yea well they've changed since the move to IS.

They were a shocker during Cybersmart network times (sure you can agree with me), But since are 10001% better.

Using them now while Vox is not performing and must say it's pretty stable. P2P is a bit slow during the day, but I can live with that.

Signed up for 120GB capped with 480GB after hours. It's not enough, but I thought I would test it first.

So far I'm very happy because it's consistent. My VPN's function properly during daytime with low latency(sub 10ms).

At night multiple video streams work exceptionally well with minimal buffering.

I'm not an online gamer so wouldn't be able to comment on that experience.

This is on 40Mbps VDSL.

That's pretty awesome.

I have a uncapped premium account with them - One of the best if not the best ISP in south africa regarding support and network performance - in my opinion.

I tend to agree.

I was informed when a new customer signs up the IPC capacity is reserved for them. I don't know how true this is though.....

Well to a certain degree, any ISP should look at signups from the current month and do forecast projections, So depending on when abouts you signed up may affect their forecast for the following month and may end up costing them.

Vox fatpipe is blocking the Unotelly DNS IP address so Netflix streaming won't work. If I switch to my AH settings or telkom account, unotelly works again.

Tested mine this morning, works fine.

It appears to be intermittent. I reckon when they notice high usage, particularly due to Netflix or streaming, they block the unotelly DNS IP Addresses.

It is working again this morning, when I'm not at home of-course.

So annoying.

The DSL fatpipe accounts work on Telkom's FTTH just fine. Great speeds of up to 90Mbps during the day before 6pm. 6pm their network and speeds and latency go to **** because of the R59 bolt on uncapped accounts on the network.
