Vox fatpipe is blocking the Unotelly DNS IP address so Netflix streaming won't work. If I switch to my AH settings or telkom account, unotelly works again.

Sadly, completely blocked and proven by thorough testing last night....... and from the above quote from page 73 of this thread, I am not alone.

Well, at 5:55pm my Netflix worked (tested via iPad / Samsung Bluray / PC) ..... 6:05pm .... None of the above will connect at all - no website, nothing. I couldn't even get to this website to post this comment so I am on 3G at the moment. Crazy isn't it ?!?!! ..... Interesting how this is thread is blocked on VOX.... So, now waiting on VOX's reply to my logged fault. If they try to BS me or this doesn't work by tomorrow night, I am cancelling. Anyone know if crystal web is good for streaming or can recommend another good streaming ISP in Cape Town ?

I think when we post faults or say working on my side, we should state our location. Many have the location filled on their profile but not everyone. Currently it seems like Cape Town is a continual problem. I'm in jhb north and everything is working on my side.

CW is the best ISP for streaming. Hands down.

Never throttled, never told it's a Telkom issue unless it genuinely is (and boy go they test this thoroughly)

Their support is also unbeatable.

I am currently testing their free test account and all is good. The test account states that it's a "premium" account, which after some research is their best account and also most expensive. Which account do you have ? I am trying to get an understanding of what will work for me and if I need to get their Business Premium account or not.

I am quite gutted as VOX was so promising, but sadly flopped. (Well, Cape Town at the moment anyway)

1 minute to 18h00.

I await it with trepidation

See what I posted above - the trepidation was justified 18h01 - boom, headshot, everything that was broken last night is broken tonight.

Diablo 3 works perfectly - everything I mentioned yesterday, nothing, nada, niks.....

I will PM Voxy again

Location: Pinelands, Cape Town

Posting via 3G

Unless you are a business owner you do not need a business account. The home premium account is the account I use and it prioritises steaming a browsing 24/7 with downloads shaped between 8am and 12am (shaped, not throttled)

Go for home premium if you stream a lot and want it to work all the time no matter how much you use. It's honestly the best uncapped account in ZA as of now and the MyBB article on best ISPs reflect this accurately.

Feel free to use my referral code in my sig and let them know I sent you, it'll help me out a lot.

I also have the Samsung Fatpipe promotion. Couldn't access mybroadband.co.za at all last night (via WiFi, which meant I had to go sit at my PC to switch ISP's), while everything else works.

Same here tonight.. mybroadband is not accessible using VOX.

Are you still going on about CW :)
They blamed Telkom every time I call despite it being a CW issue.
I proved it countless times as well lol.

Voxy, it has been a few weeks of terrible performance specifically at night.
Recently it has got so bad the Vox account is a pointless addition to my setup.
The 150Gb account has not even seen 40Gb being used.
At night the local latency can jump from 200ms to 600ms.

As I said in the PM. While there were definitely issues, their uncapped account is as of typing this the best home account you can get.

I know you've had issues on a personal basis but I'm going completely unbiased here.

I made some enquiries with CW and after they advised me that their Test Accounts use the business platform (capped premium) so I have decided to use their Business Capped Premium Account. 100GB initially, but I will more than likely need 150 / 200.

I also also asked about their 7mb Premium Uncapped (not on website) but mentioned on another post here... it's R649 a month. Not bad at all if you don't have the full 10mb line speed where you live.

I do have a question: can you top-up GB later in the month ? (as with other ISPs). I can't see the user interface, so I thought to ask.

Lastly, what are your thoughts on transfering my line to them. I would save R50 a month over Telkom. Thoughts ?

Oh, when I was testing CW last night, I was streaming a HD film (via Raspberry PI), streaming Netflix on my ipad, and streaming SKY News on my laptop.... all without issues and with perfect clarity. Very impressive.

Let me know about the above and I will definitely be using your code when I sign up. :D
