Hey guys,
I've had a look at the IPC from Friday morning until just now when I saw the message (btw thank you for raising this issue!!). The IPC is not the reason for this issue that you guys encountered. There was loads of bandwidth available.
I'll check with the core network team on Monday and see if I can get some more information as to what happened.
@Cape Tonians: Please confirm the problem is not happening any longer, thanks!
Regards,
Chris

Does the R148 include the bolt on?
@cvanwie
It definitely was something with IPC.
While you're here Chris - any news on the hint you dropped regarding a > 10mbps bolt-on account? Or was that scrapped?
When I mentioned the IPC I was referring to capacity of the network. I spoke with our core network team and can confirm there was a fault and it was resolved.
This was limited to Cape Town.
Can't give you more than that.. I hope you understand.
Regards,
Chris

can anyone recomend a vdsl/adsl2+ modem that can store multiple pppoe profiles, or even better, switch between profiles on a schedule ?
to better manage multiple vox profiles![]()
Mikrotik makes this probably the easiest thing to do, scripting the connecting to different accounts.

Heard this many times before.
Please post link to one here for those of us that are:
A.) Ignorant of their product range
B.) Too lazy to Google it
Cool thx for the response. I understand.
Good news it isn't capacity for regular usage, so I have a very good idea what then actually happened, and that unfortunately does happen![]()

You keep your existing ADSL/VDSL modem and just put it into bridge mode. You then set up the Microtik do dial out the connections as needed, based on schedule or port or whatever destination you going to.
