VOX was terrible this weekend, especially yesterday. At times I couldnt even open Google.co.za.

A question if I may please. Since changing over to VOX, my Wireless keeps dropping at regular intervals, I would wait 30 secs or so, and then it would be up again. MY ADSL line stays up when wireless goes down. What could that be?

I had this issue with a Buffalo router. Brand new one. Kept dropping the Wifi. I changed back to my older Netgear which seems to be better. The Buffalo one I am now using at work with no issues. I suspect it is a wireless device on my network causing the issue at home.

As for This weekend, yesterday my streaming did suffer, I gave up on trying to stream F1.

Hmmm. Could be that WD-TV Live is causing it then. I only notice it because I was streaming shows via WiFi to WD-TV to watch on tele. This is a Netgear N300 router BTW.

My Vox was slow downloading from Steam on Sunday afternoon but everything else was perfect all weekend.

I got frustrated with my issue... the WiFi was still up according to my cell. Sometime though it would just not authenticate, other times there would just be no data throughput. Like I said, I suspect its because I probably at one time have at least 5 to 10 wireless devices on and about 7 wired (never issues with the wired)... Wireless devices are 3 PC's, XBox, WiiU, Chromecast, wireless IPCam and cell phones. I did some research and figure it has something to do with the MTU on the wireless side... But I have a bunch of routers that I have tried for various reasons, so I just switched over to my trusted Netgear (not N300, only 270)

Back to Vox ... yeah, probably noticed streaming issues from about 2pm on.

Zero issues with my bolt-on this weekend.
Well there is interesting shaping on the bolt-on account nowadays.

For example:
NNTP will do full account speed.
But then when I want to download an update, Kodi 15.1 for example, I can browse http://mirrors.kodi.tv 100% fine, its instant and snappy, but as soon as I hit any .exe link on that server, the connection either times out, or the download goes at 300 bytes/sec, exactly like it is being heavily shaped/throttled.

Yes especially from 2pm. What I did was swap to my other VOX account, then iy would be fine again for a while, then gradually slow down to a point where my games were timing out etc.

No issues during the weekend, but Sunday evening things were extremely slow. Felt like Afrihost when they were having their Cape Town IPC capacity shortage. I'm guessing a link died somewhere or some hardware failed, as it was a sudden change, not a slow degradation.

All seems to be ok now - but then I am on my capped portion - last night was via bolt-on.

Hoping for feedback from cvanwie or voxy in thread.

There is an issue in Cape Town that we are working on.

Regards,
Chris
