Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Sorry to ask, but what does Base Cap mean? It says I got 150GB base cap? I had 50-70gb left last Month says now I have 100gb again xD. Sorry just a little confused.

We have a few different terms that we use on our systems, base cap relates to what you bought. For instance if you bought a 100GB plan, your base cap would be 100GB. We also have top up cap and routines which manage each of them.

I hope that helps.

AS discussed with Vox.

The 1TB account is only R1899 when billed on 1 November.

Thus for October I was still charged R2250 for this month.

I probably should not complain as I was prepared to pay the original amount.

However, it does bother me when customers spending less are getting benefits this month and as someone spending much more I must wait an extra month.

100%. Also depends on where in SA you are and where in Europe that server is, and whether the game server's ISP/data centre has interconnects with the major European traffic DCs. If it has to announce and then route you'll add some latency there. Heck, for some European service 300ms may be normal, and it's out of the hands of any ISP this side of the pond to control that. Although if you have international POPs you can take some control over it, and likewise end up being responsible for congestion on the POP side itself...

Hey DJ! Completely agreed! Pros and cons, always...

Back to Fatpipe ...

Has anyone found the easter egg about the product yet? Prior to the announcement on Oct 6?

Hmm, I think I paid my normal amount for October - let me go check - so you're not unique in this regard

Edit: Yup, confirmed. So the new price is only effective from 1 November for everyone.

Edit 2: Oh, wait, you are referring to us benefiting from the data bump...

Does the Easter Egg have anything to do with Bolt On (and various speed options)?
I just ask as in the account it says "Bolt on Products" - None

Correct - no data bump on the bigger packages.

So it appears Vox wants more low GB users on the Fat Pipe Product.

My last guess would be that Bolt On - will run at line speed and not be limited to 10mb.
Probably getting colder but these are things I dream about at night :)

Have a good weekend and I look forward to the reveal on the 6th :)

HOT --|---- COLD

is bolt-on becoming an uncapped with managment thing that can be applied to Fat Pipe? if so tell Tim he's crazy

Ok so I only received 100GB this month, a bit confused with the 150GB thing. It says I should be getting 150GB but only got 100GB..

Consumer division had a problem during the routine to up the data allocation, I checked with them 30 minutes ago, still not completed. It should complete today/tomorrow if I were to guess.

No one will be left behind!
