Vox Telecom Fatpipe

I have a 100GB capped account that I bought a while ago for the promotional price of R164. I have just checked my account, and saw that 150GB was allocated to the account this month.

This means that my data is now costing me less than R1.10 / GB!!! How cool is that !!! :D:whistle::love:

Yup and with the promised Easter egg (which is partially guessed) the deal is even going to be sweeter.

Anybody else having slow internet this morning?

On Vox Fatpipe on a 40Mbps line.

YouTube is buffering constantly.

Seems to be a general issue. Escalate to support so they can escalate to network team

I don't understand this table....

So if I use Home Uncapped then my Threshold is 60GB under FUP 1?

But undet FUP 2 it's 240gb?

What is the 240gb one?

I'm confused here....

/nevermind :)

Also noticed no VDSL accounts on there, it was removed sometime yesterday. Why is that?

Edit: Just not as hyped as it was made out to be. Looks to me the model is shaped around majority of accounts shared [2 concurrent connections]. To avoid abuse without even mentioning the word :), clever.

Lets wait for the easter egg now.;)

Easter Egg? Did i miss something?

Looking at the pricing of the bundled home uncapped products, I'm hoping for (and guessing) line speed upgrades.

What happened to the 20 & 40 meg accounts? They are no longer there.

Product team made a judgement call and decided to leave the uncapped at a max of 10Mbps.

We have a lot of 40mbps and 20mbps on our network, and the top downloaders are all 10Mbps customers. There has been 1 month where I saw a 40Mbps get close... and they were short by over 400GB that month.

That wasn't done intentionally, but now that you mention it ... that's kind of a funny reality.

We made it two connections to fall in line with the uncapped product which was on IS, where two connections were permitted. While we wanted to give a better experience, we didn't want to change too much of the expected use of the product.

The easter egg, is for Fatpipe, not uncapped...

I'm guessing you are talking about the Home Uncapped 4Mbps account. Read from left to right to navigate the table.

What it's saying is that once you hit 60GB of usage, we will cut your speed down to 2Mbps, then when you hit a total of 120GB of usage, we will cut your speed down to 1Mbps for the rest of the month.

I hope that clears it up? If not, let me know.

Thanks for replying, certainly clears the thinking behind it.

I should've mentioned the EG was for FP :)
