Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Nice gift, from VOX, I am just not a night owl, would be awesome if the weekends were included, but anyway good on VOX, just hope my 150 Gig is going to last me for the month (I think not so)

Queue your downloads :D

Do Vox have fatpipe bundle deals like you get with uncapped?

Not that I'm aware of but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Contact sales to find out more.

EDIT: I spoke with product management, and there are bundles available, contact sales.

Damn it, should have guessed the easter egg could be concurrent connections!

Anyway, already great value accounts just got a WHOLE lot sweeter!

Thanks, cvanwie. Vox are certainly hitting all of the right notes with these changes.

Incidentally, I've logged a request with [email protected] to cancel one of my Fatpipe 100 (or is that Fatpipe 150 now?) accounts as I don't need 2 of them.

You don't need to do anything, we take care of it.

Simply put, I told the system to count things differently after midnight up until 559am then count normally. This is as non-technical as I can put it... ;)

Apologies if already answered but is midnight to 6am only during week or Saturday and Sunday as well?
Is there a cap on line speed?
Thanks VOX very happy is all I can say.Now waiting for the fibre in my area(Frogfoot).

Could someone please clarify out-of-bundle data pricing for Fatpipe Lite for me please.

I see a figure of R5/GB quoted in the "Please Note" bit of the Fatpipe (non-Lite) page here: https://www.voxtelecom.co.za/fatpipe but I don't see any figure quoted on the Fatpipe Lite page here: https://www.voxtelecom.co.za/fat-pipe-lite

Is the Fatpipe Lite OOB data also charged at R5/GB or is it a higher rate? I seem to remember a price of R10/GB being talked about in the past but I'm not sure if that is a higher figure specifically for Fatpipe Lite users, a higher figure before Vox cut OOB prices across all products, or maybe just me misremembering stuff.

Small suggestion - it might be worth adding the OOB data pricing to the "Please Note" section of the Fatpipe Lite description on the web site to clear up confusion.

- Julian

Never use OOB, it's really expensive.
Rather buy an additional account and cancel later, it's cheaper.

I know but I might only end up using 5 or 10GB OOB data a month and for an extra R25 a month (if that is the price) it really isn't worth the hassle of me needing to remember to swap accounts over twice a day every day. The trouble is that it's difficult to do the calculations without knowing the price of Fat Pipe Lite OOB data.

Chris - is there a reason you don't publish the price for Fat Pipe Lite OOB data? I would like to know the figure. Is it the same as the R5/GB figure given on the main Fat Pipe product description but for some reason not mentioned on the Fat Pipe Lite product description page (or in the terms and conditions document)?

Use your full line speed.

Frogfoot is cool! I've been testing the network lately, you are going to love it.

Hey Julian - the reason is with Fatpipe Lite (and Fatpipe for that matter) don't have OOB any longer. The original Fatpipe did, where you could adjust your cap. We recently changed this ability to only permit the purchasing of Topups when you've exceeded your cap.

I hope that clears it up.

Seems the website needs some updates. I'll pass along the info.

Much prefer topups to OOB for control purposes. I assume you can still access your account page then once capped, in order to top up? ( lol havent needed to yet, always carried over in the positive)

I am going with frogfoot in the office (Westlake) but when I asked they had no plans for HoutBay. That was a couple of months ago though. If they are coming to HoutBay soon do you have any idea of price?

Says there coming to hout bay under coming soon under western cape under Frogfoot.
They have prices listed below Frogfoot
Really good deals:50mb 400 GB for R899 per month

Bandwidth is bandwidth right?

A few things which were mentioned lately that I want to clear up as well:

The midnight to 6am is every day of the week for any size Fatpipe product not just the 150GB as someone questioned yesterday or the day before.

Also, for those curious, the midnight to 6am is available even after you have used your cap!

Enjoy it guys!

Game-changer IMHO, thank you for doing this. :)
