We are still waiting for Telkom to resolve the problem in Cape Town.

We've made a change in Cape Town, let me know how things run tomorrow.

Is this congestion on a Telkom link? Is it also causing the slow speeds at night, not just high latency?

Getting a little tired of having stellar internet while working during the day, and then I can barely stream in 360p if at all at night and browse the web as if it was the 90's on a 28800 baud modem.

Haven't noticed any issues in the evenings down here in the deep south (besides the latency) ...have you tried other ISPs to compare?

Yep. Got in touch with helpful people at telkom. Tested for exchange congestion and checked with a TI account - both good. It's curious some people in the Cape are unaffected.

@Cvanwie. Just humor me and do me a favor please. I see a distinct pattern on my account. At exactly 09:00 am and 21:00 pm , my account dies. I then switch to my other Vox account, it takes about 4 mins to authenticate. SO by this time we are talking +/- 10 mins past the hour, and everything is back to normal. Perhaps some kind of service that gets triggered on your side at those exact times?

Good morning everyone!

The change last night in Cape Town did include additional capacity.

Something I wanted to share for those interested, is that since the community has become aware of the midnight to 6am zero rated aspect of the Fatpipe, we have seen usage in that time slot start to pick up slowly. Those front ends really instill the confidence that you need I'm sure.

I'll get an update early next week as to when the dashboards will be updated to show/display accurately the difference between what's free and what isn't.

Share you experience after 6pm tonight in Cape Town, I'm expecting good reports tonight guys!

By chance do you have a Zyxel router?

We don't send packet of disconnects on our network since we have a subscriber management platform that allows us to alter a customers experience on the net "mid-flight" whereas in the past, we would have to disconnect the customer in order to apply some sort of a change.

When you authenticate on our network, we do assign a session limiter which is configured here: Session-Timeout="1209600" (2 weeks)
