Traces please?
@i.got~issues Whats your speed locally? You might be experiencing what I am currently having with international traffic.
Chris, let me show you something - or perhaps pour a bit of petrol on the fire since it's nearly November. I would love to see your explanation for this phenomenon.

We know that Axxess are having trouble and their status light is red today. So if this hop rule of yours applies, the exchange is a problem on Axxess, but not on Vox ?!?
That's just a copout when things are tough. I found your answers very subjective anyhow and your dogged refusal to see the problems on your own network is apparent to all of us.I do not deserve the treatment you wield. You refuse to accept or comprehend the technical information that is shared and that's your choice.
I will not entertain your patronizing query, I suggest that you reach out to the support department for any further assistance that you require.

Read my post again. For the love of all things unholy... how can the 2nd hop be Vox's network problem! Ever?

Read my post again.
My tracerts prove that what he's claiming (about which hops can be attributed) cannot be a rule based on what I've uploaded.

I've checked graphs for International peering, International links and neither show any congestion.
The only difference between the traces that I can see is that we peer with Level 3 where IS doesn't into the ncuk.net network and our trace is 8ms slower than IS's to host of www.thinkbroadband.com then there is a 20ms of so latency between the final destination.
Our network is from hop 3 until hop 6 (which is in the UK) past that, we can't control.
I've also checked the IPC's and there's no congestion at this time which would cause you to lose so much speed from our network.
( Someone's a bit bored, ne? )Your tracerts prove Axxess's network is broken, nothing else. If you actually want to gather proof it's Vox's network, post a trace (or a few) where Vox is underperforming, not when it is with comparisons, time stamps and something other than a bloody ICMP test, which some ISPs are beginning to prioritise to hide high contention. Which I'm sure you already knew in your infinite knowledge.
( Someone's a bit bored, ne? )
Look, we know Axxess is broken, but they deny it. We also know Vox is experiencing a problem but their rep is defending their (your) corner. That's why we are here.
I'm still waiting for an explanation about the two traces and why it breaks the 'rule' about hops.
I commend Chris for waiting this long before saying something to him. I don't get it, after being shown by everyone that it's not a Vox fault and something at his exchange or Telkom side is screwed he refuses to accept it.
Does he think the world is out to get him, thousands of people can't use DSL because of poor infrastructure, accept it and look into alternatives.
All good again ...
