Vox Telecom Fatpipe

This has nothing to do with your ISP, but it is a problem on the Netgear routers from Telkom. I had the same issue after I got one when my D-Link packed up. I even exchanged the new Netgear for another new Netgear, same problem. If you set the Wifi to max speed (300 Mbps) the wifi disconnects every now and then. Set it at 150 Mbps and it won't happen again.

I will try that, thanks. WIll 150 still be fast enough to stream content to my media player?

I don't have issues with 15 GB movie files with my Roku and PC connected via wifi. What speed is your internet connection 40 Mbps? Then it is still 3,5 times faster (although you won't get full speed if you don't have good signal). I doubt you will have issues, but I could not get my Netgear to operate at 300. If 150 is too slow you will have to get another wifi ap. There were some other settings you could try like wifi band width but that didn't help me.

Unless the media player is in the same room, you're likely barely even coming close to 60mbps over wifi, nevermind 150mbps or 300mbps. You shouldn't have any problems.

I had this with the D-Link :p Bought a new router (Belkin) and the problem was sorted.

10 Mbps. I'm using Serviio to stream to WD TV live.

Is anyone able to do tracert's? or Pings? All of a sudden I cant do either... My net and browsing is fine and my speedtests are fine too but All my ping's and trace's just time out...

Since this issue happened 2 nights ago, my line is now syncing at 2,554 Kbps down, instead of just 2000

And also i have 15 ms more latency to local servers. My throughput is not affected.

Any idea when this will be resolved?

Used vox on adsl and was so happy with the service and customer service that when fibre became available in our area I happy signed up with vox on fibre.

Your line sync has nothing to do with your ISP. Contact Telkom.

It should be 2048k if it's a 2mbps line though, not 2000 so I think your line is buggered.

There seems to be a lot more issues on Vox recently, or is it my imagination?

either way, sad panda.

good example. a well seeded torrent, and I'm getting 40 KB/sec

I'm used to the Vox that gave me 800 KB/sec on virtually every single torrent I started.

So what is going on????
