Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Now I like. For the past two days, it was bad...
12 to 6am is dead torrent wise and I had to download a 300 file this morning (kids wanted to watch series.) 3kbs to 20kbps was full blast on my 4mb line.
You have to always fiddle with vox to get speeds other provide as standard. There is definitely a problem on their network. But is not just torrents. I play eve online which is not a big bandwidth hog. Yet I can feel it is slower. Hard to describe, thinks that take a split second to do like opening a regional market can take as long as 3 to 5 seconds.
Switching to another ISP and it is back to a split second to open.
Capped full speed internet it is not.
I have 3 weeks left with them, so I suppose complaining is pointless. I am just baffled how they got so many good reviews
 
I'm starting to get worried here as well.
Even though my torrents are back to normal now. I just feel that last night I was put into the uncapped/shaped basket of users.
I dont deserve that.
I checked the Vox network status -was green, and no notifications were emailed. So there is no explanation here.

Switched to a free axxess account, and full speed.
If it was a temporary hardware issue i can understand it, fair enough, but you are not allowed to slow down our speeds Vox.

Where is cvanwie when you need him?
 
VOX phoned me, it was a temporary issue on their side and is resolved now. All my services are running full speed.
 
Is anyone having issues with Windows Update? My PC has been struggling to download updates since yesterday, and it takes hours to download stuff from the Windows 10 mobile store.

Http downloading was a real pain. This no coMmunIcation is pursuing me off.
 
Are torrents running at decent speeds in the north now? Still seems to be dead on my side

I made use of their 200GB special today and my account is activated. I also have a 400GB account that I'll be cancelling shortly. Is it possible to transfer some of my unused bandwidth to the new account?

I'm going crazy here. Up to about a week ago, I have been very happy with VOX. But since then, the ping has become outrageous. I play Rocket League on my PS4, and the ping spikes and stays at MORE THAN 1000ms!!! Then it drops down, then spikes up all the way again.

Normal ping is around 230ms on my 2mb line.

E-mailed them - I don't see anywhere in the client portal an option to open a trouble-ticket. Aaargh! Hopefully they get it.

Do you guys know if they have a 24 hour call centre?

Hopefully this gets sorted ASAP :(

180ms to Germany :) for me .. and pretty consistent

Not yet! Still in South Africa... currently in a Durban hotel.

I heard there was an issue, I'll have a look. Guys remember though that when/if the network hits congestion, Vox does reserve the right to shape the network to give a better experience. Unfortunately this means that P2P will the most affected.

NetOps should have the network in better shape in the next hour or so. There is a slight balancing issue, which we believe is due to Telkom upgrading a batch of customers to higher speeds.

I fly out Monday night for the States.
