Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Good day

We ask for inbox for security reasons. But if you dont want to not a problem.

Same here (JHB). A bit inconvenient to "inbox" my username as I live too much in the cloud. Note to self... better fix that.
I'm being stupid, I could have found that info on my router. It's just that I was busy installing Windows 10 (which is a bit daunting as I am a Linux user) with my phone tethered to my laptop.

Good evening

Please note that services should be restored we will be getting an indicent report as no word on what the issue was as of yet

This time and last time vox went down.. my telkom account was also down for the same period.. only my tnt accounts works.

I go through that Tygerberg IPC hop as well. Been experiencing those same crazy pings. Not for just 3 days though. I've made Vox aware of it and apparently they're looking into it. Hopefully resolved soon.
As an update Vox seems to think this is a Telkom issue. Unfortunate as I've had Telkom guys around twice already to check lines and they've said there is nothing wrong. I highly doubt it is a line issue at this point as at least 1 other person has reported this same issue in this thread and when I use another ISP's account the problem vanishes. I'm somewhat disappointed that it took weeks of me wasting my time performing pings, traceroutes and pathpings to get to this point only to be told to go back to Telkom again. Unfortunately I don't think Vox is going to work for me moving forward. :(

Unfortunately I will now have to wait until the end of January with essentially unusable Internet before being able to make the switch.

Did anyone else get a misscall on their phones from Vox? I got an SMS from CellC that I missed a call from 0878050530 at 10pm, even though my phone didn't ring. When I called back it played a recording about there being auth issues.

@Voxy, please tell me you aren't just miscalling people to save on phone costs and this was actually a mistake.

Hi,

Having a frustrating experience. Signed up for a Vox Telecom uncapped account last Friday. Entered details and credit card info and started using the account.

Last night I get a message that my card was rejected. I must have put the wrong CVC number in, the rest of the info looked fine. Updated the card and processed the payment.

During the night the ADSL account stops working. This morning, still not working, but don't have time to troubleshoot and leave it to later. This afternoon, I look at the access again. My router logs shows there are authentication errors! So, I double check against the info provided by Vox, re-enter it again, but am not able to get access.

I then set a new password in the dashboard, again still can't get access.

Eventually I phone the Support number and I am told that my account has been suspended because of non-payment

Now, the irritating part is that on the Vox Portal dashboard, it shows my service as Active, my account as Paid-to-Date. I received a statement showing that I owe nothing, but my account is suspended!

Even more irritating is that the accounts people leave at 5pm and I have to call back at 8am tomorrow to resolve the issue.

I am not impressed with the service! Looking around for another service provider.:mad::mad:
