Meant to update my post. My line issues was not a VOX issue, but weather. For the last week, as soon as there is bad weather in the area, my linespeed drops, and my land line(voice) dies.

Bit of a pain. Hopefully all is good this evening my side. Will report back
 
After some tests it looks like they are shaping my account.(10Mbit Fat Pipe). With speedtest.net everything is working and I am getting 100% full speed even to France and US servers. But when I try using my OpenVPN account or using the local Linux repository my speed never go higher then 1Mbits
 
I also believe my account is also being shaped, both my fat-pipe lite with bolt-on as well as my 100gb fat pipe accounts.
100gb fat-pipe account should not be shaped as it is an unshaped account.

Either that or Vox is having problems, except speedtest also shows full speed.
 
This is what happened when Afrihost started having 'problems' and I was getting shaping-like symptoms on my capped accounts. The speed tests also read back fine.

Lately I'm seeing a lot of high latency and low throughput on my 150GB fatpipe account.
Other 1GB free ISP accounts run just fine.
Are you guys dropping the ball ? Already ?
 
Same problem here, Speed test seems to be fine but everything else is very slow.
 
I dont know anymore. Is there a single ISP that can actually deliver? I am also having issues, but cant say for certain it's VOX until TELKOM have been here.
 
Also thought I'd add that things start fine at full line speed (10 mbps) but then after a bit it starts being cut.
Can't say for certain that it is shaping or throttling but it certainly is strange network behavior.
 
Well that is another evening of not being able to stream.
I Joined VOX for the data rollover but what is the point if you can never actually reach your cap to use the rollover.
Time to see if Afrihost sorted out its issues.
 
Same as above my Vox accounts are extremely slow.
10mbs line but I can barely break 2mbps, browsing is sluggish and slow.
Latency unstable with packet loss.

Afrihost account provided full speed with stable latency.

Is there anything worse than intermittent service?

Was perfect earlier this evening - did a massive Windows 10 Update plus a full Office 365 installation - smooth as smooth, now this...

Sigh...
 
Torrents being shaped to **** atm.

Other protocols seem to work as and when the almighty vox gods seems fit.
 
The internet gods must love me, usenet, torrents, Netflix and Showmax are all full speed and my ping in CSGO was around 30ms five minutes ago.
 
Usenet running around half line speed for me and browsing is very sluggish.

Please may i ask you for a TraceRoute to local or international destination you experiencing problems with?
We are working on resolving these issues and any samples would only speed up the resolution.
