Vox Telecom Fatpipe

You can't live in a nice place like Hout Bay and have nice internet, choose one ;)

Unfortunately that is not a joke :) Exchange congestion doesn't help, but Telkom have final started upgrades and more fiber is being laid.
Just a matter of waiting for it to be affordable if you are not in a large complex where the cost can be shared.

I did get a smile though and will now head off to a beach pub to destress :)

See, you still win, you go to a nice beach pub and I breath in dirty polluted Sasol factory air.

Probably the wrong thread to ask, but I now have 20Mbps but my Usenetbucket is limited to 10Mbps, any cheap alternatives? SunnyUsenet?

I'm using Supernews it's USD 12 if I have it correct. Not sure about the options you mentioned above, but I don't have speed limits with supernews. http://goo.gl/LKXWfk

***Edit***

Forgot to say.. I have this option "Supernews Unlimted + SSL, 30 connections "

That's rather expensive, I've heard other guys on the forum mention Sunny Usenet in the past, it sounds perfect for what I want, 20Mbps and it's only +- R65 per month.

In the beginning I only used the free XS Usenet account, worked well for me. You can try the premium account (5 euro for 25 Mbps). I am currently on Usenetbucket as well so I haven't used XS for a while.

For that matter why not just upgrade to the Comfort Bucket with Usenet bucket, that is also 5 euro but for 40 Mbps. Should be easy to upgrade.

and as usual Vox never gives an update.
This Voxy is a waste of time, are you really interested in the community and your product?
Show a Little more interest in the feedback you promise.

https://www.voxtelecom.co.za/ does not seem interested in any feedback.
I am hoping google cache will store this info if a search is done.

Cape Town Claremont:
PPPoE just dropped. Can't reconnect with Vox.

Line syncing at 10mbps as per usual.

Tried afrihost, seems to be similar issue. Hope telkom didn't break something (again)

I still have poor performance on 1080p, 60fps youtube videos on my 20mbps vdsl line - however vox has never really been good at handling these videos... rather dissapointing as speed tests always show my full line speed.

Telkom still up and running fine.

I am now seriously considering canceling VOX at the end of the month the problem is that, apart from Telkom, non of the ISP's appear to be reliable or have sufficient IPC to handle Cape Town in the evenings.

Everything appears normal on my side today.. I really hope they will work on their annoying lack of communication to customers about issues. (cape town)

People really need to add at least a general location on their profile, that way we know where the issue might be.

I stay in Claremont as well, was ordering VDSL 20MB at that time.. apologies ??

my fatpipe a trickle. my bolton dead. had to use another account just to open mybb

Yeah. Been difficult for me to identify where my issues reside today. Line has been flaky since around 8pm last night. I'm seeing lower than usual max attainable rates on my router and fluctuating snr margins. Line is stable with no disconnects but no throughout or very low throughout the one minute and max speed the next. Have tried using my afrihost backup account but with mixed results confirming a line issue.

I've had the port recreated twice today already.

That was primarily using a bolt on account. I've since logged on using a fat pipe account and it appears to be a lot more consistent. Only been on fat pipe for the last 15 minutes but so far so good.

@voxy is there an issue the bolt on accounts?
