Vuma Reach Phoenix Thread

Have you tried Opera with VPN enabled ?
Haven't tried Opera. Last time I remember using the mini version, which was when the Vodafone v360v was popular. I got the Mibox S in the lounge so trying to configure that for the family. Netflix SA is so limited compared to overseas bruh. I do understand licensing agreements and stuff but damn, we lacking big time.

Yeah it is limited, I have Opera on my notebook which I run Netflix off, you can select which continent you want to connect from and changes your Netflix to that region, not sure if you have the VPN option on the android version of Opera (mini), might as well have a go. . . the VPN is free on Opera.

Saw the construction netting getting put up in unit 9 and 8 today. Super excited but also 40mbps :(

Interestingly Openserve did a small section of Starwood and now they've put up their boards on the highway going down to the Plaza.

Openserve prices are a lot better than Vumatel prices around the country. They are being forced to increase their rollout due to the vuma-reach push.

When more speed?
An upgrade to 100mbps would be sweet man but most users that I know of are happy on the 20/10 package. So let's just say there are 62 users on the 2.5gbps fibre line and each of them are on a 40/10 package, this would theoretically be maxed out right? But what if only 2 users on the line are running at 40/10, the rest 20/10? Would that leave room for the 40/10 to say double to 80/10? I know, I know the 20/10 users would want to upgrade in the future and then problems are going to arise but I'm sure there's a work around apart from upgrading the 2.5gbps line. Great seeing that Vuma Reach is continuing it's course of trenching the rest of Phoenix.

By that theory all customers would be using their lines at total capacity. Realistically it doesn't happen. So even if you are realistically contending, FNOs then technically also contend on backhaul services.

Been like that around a year I think. Saw some telkom vans on the highway last few weeks. Here's hoping their also rolling out, 200Mbps will be sweet.

I'm hoping vuma sorted out soon and then provides option for 1Gbps sooner rather than later
