Well this incident is not listed there, so dozens of us might have been pestering Afrihost support to check on our individual downtime when the issue was more regional. I was asleep and my brother alerted me to someone outside calling through, it was a Vuma support team and they mentioned picking up a high loss. With Afrinatic confirming a network outage I don't think my incident was raised as a separate issue. I did not have any issues to note following the return of service though.

Same here. No issues since it came back

Many International and South African sites are down or incredibly slow, all I am getting so far is MyBB, IOL, News24.

Not seeing a general issue on our network.

Are you still experiencing the issue?
 
No. Back to normal 3 hours later. MyBB, News24, and a few was fast. No Google, YT, FB, Reddit, ABSA, etc in that period. Could ping cloudflare, PH was extremely slow (b/s) but was basically responding and loading the html slowly. An adult camsite that I tested streamed video freely.
 
So did anybody else get a notice letter from OpenServe about DSL to fibre upgrades? I just got one today.

Anyone else getting really poor speeds during peak hours? The last few days I've only gotten 1/4 my internet speed after 6 PM.
 
While digging to repair a water leak the plumber sliced my fiber cable - any ideas how much it costs to have a new cable installed ? What’s the process

How do I interpret that? I have not been able to access my home the whole day. Will there be interim or erratic service or will it be out until the service change is complete, scheduled until Friday afternoon?
