Vumatel call center closed?

In lieu of our connection issues,

We were told by Afrihost that both customers and ISP's are unable to contact Vumatel telephonically and that "their hands are tied" and all they can do is log and escalate tickets for support.

Is this correct?

This is utterly disgusting as we have had no service since 15th March.

Hi,

As of the 31st of March 2021 Vumatel has closed their inbound call centre to direct this expenditure towards assisting ISPs via their ticketing system.

I have received your query and the ISP ticket we logged with Vumatel is still open. I have escalated the ticket for feedback again. I do apologise for the delay.

Vumatel has the MOST USELESS form of communication this side of the known galaxy!
you can ONLY use their WhatsApp chat group to contact them, even about billing etc (this after they have just emailed you your bill with an email address and telephone number on it) nope that doesn't work!

You are going to WASTE 30min each time going in circles on a whatsapp chat, and heaven forbid you use the word account or line or ask 2 questions.. you are immediately redirected to another person (yip back of the line once again, tick tock mf!)

I've never know a company run so badly as them. FFS it isn't rocket science to run a call center or email address so your CUSTOMERS can contact you with queries!
