Our spies have caught VW's all-new pickup! You've probably seen test mules and blurry pictures from what seems like miles away, but here's a running prototype and we're as close as one can possible get (at highway speeds) to the all-new bakkie from Volkswagen.
This double cab bakkie will be built in Hannover, Germany, as well Argentina, and has been referred to as the Robust. Sources say two-wheel-drive and "off-road capable" 4x4 versions will be on offer.
Furthermore the 2010 Robust will be a global product and it will come in a number of variations, single cab and double cab combined with either rear wheel drive or four wheel drive.
Volkswagen considers the Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara and Mitsubishi Triton to be Robust competitors.
