VW Golf 7

When is the last time (or first time) that Oupel has won the European Car of the Year award?

*I see the Golf 7 just won it. :)

Oooh, you should not have brought that one up

First time : 1985 Kadett
Second time : 1987 Omega
Third time : 2009 Insignia
Last time : 2012 Ampera

Exciting cars with radical design and lots of flair.

VW on the other hand has a lest stellar record with some pretty humdrum and mundane cars, none of their big cars has won any thing and their eco cars are missing in action :

Golf (1992); Polo (2010); Golf (2013)

Opel is awesome <3

Holy donkey's balls, did you just pay a compliment to a VAG product!???
It has been known to happen, many times actually, you should not get me started on the 1.4 TSI (from the Tiguan)I love that engine. Driving it is a dream.

Then maybe you should drive the new A3 1.4TFsi ;)
I have driven a lot of VAG products, including RS4 and A4 DSG, still think the Tiguan 1.4 TSI is a nicer car than those. My best friend is VAG crazy, even has a few old DKWs.

Guys, here's my two bits?

of all the Golf 5 sold, almost 50% was Gti.

The Golf 6 is not bad, but drive the Golf 7, this is another well built car.

Also, the Golf 5 was very expensive to build, so that set the benchmark and every Golf after that, although is going to be cheaper to make will always be more expensive.

Still the Golf 7 TSi DSG, drive it and you will see. Would love this in 17 inch though!!!

Aren't those the rims that were on the concept art?

Those rims were good. I still think if I can own a Golf 7 I will put the current Gti rims on. Those rims are so GTI. They adentify the car.

Vanesh, if I may ask. Where did you get the inofrmation that the 50% of all Golf 5's sold were Gti's?
