I'm guessing that's from VW agents and not a third party?
Not a change I would be paying that kind of money for a job like this on a Polo. Besides what kind of mileage are we talking about here? Please tell me it reached 150 k at the very least.
120 000km, not sure how much more I can get out of it as it slips occasionally, but not that often yet.
From Ford (tdci focus) the general price is R21k/R22k, from safety brake it comes down to about R16k all inclusive.
The problem is the dual mass flywheel, all manual diesel cars (and many turbo petrol cars) use dual mass flywheel to reduce vibration in the transmission.
A lot of the focus st guys replace the dual mass flywheel with a solid one from the UK, but I'm worried there might be too much vibration with a diesel car.
