Obviously when CAR does a shoot-out the VW always wins, however this time I agree with them.

Reporting in that the Fender sound is really good for the price. Listened to Opeth's Blackwater Park in its entirety today and it sounded fantastic. Decent soundstaging, really nice elastic bass and solid mids and highs.

A trend I have noticed as well. How more practicality (two more doors), a superior infotainment system and safety features (EBD) trumps a smoother ride has me stumped.Obviously when CAR does a shoot-out the VW always wins, however this time I agree with them.

5-door won't make it to SA, it will steal too many customers from the super profitable Vivo.

If car does a shootout between a Zonda and a Vivo they will pick the Vivo because it is more practical, it has more cup holders, uses less fuel and has a VW badge.

Reminds of that car show on TV with Alan Johston was it? Except he had a hard on for all things Toyota. That that first version RAV was the bog's balls cause it had cloth seats.

Oh no....don't remind me of that show! Such a dreary show
It was called DriveTime

I'd like to see them redo the test when/if the 5-door version of the Up exclaimation mark lands on our shores

In terms of practicality, the Up! has a much bigger boot, so I'd say they're on par there. Same with safety - the Up! has ASR, which the Aygo doesn't (also it scored 5 stars in the Euro NCAP vs the Aygo's 4).
There won't be a five door coming to South Africa, they're intentionally keeping it this way to maintain Vivo's spot in the sales chart. Problem with the Vivo is it's pretty much ancient, I think a lot of folks would rather have a five door Up.
I believe you, but still I am very sceptical about it. Surely they should worry about it taking away buyers from its top seller cash cow the Vivo? The 5 door is coming to SA. I got inside info.![]()
