You do know it's pretty much the same car made by the same company.

The man's a car expert, he knows.

Isn't there a VW salesman on here who can answer the questions around the glass tailgate? There are a handful of Google results like this

I think it could be a problem if they create a panoramic version that has a windscreen which extends all the way back to the tailgate...

I have one as a curtesy car that I will be driving for a couple weeks whilst my car is getting repaired.

Its the bottom of the range model.

First impressions are good and it reminds me a lot of the citi golf

Im used to driving a GTi so the lack of power for overtaking is quite irritating otherwise its nippy and handles really well.

The drive is also pretty comfortable.

Used as a daily commuting vehicle or company car for use in a CBD I can see why they are selling a lot of them.

I would hate to use it for longer trips as it struggles to get to 120km/h and again it would be a mission overtaking and going up mountain passes.

Yep, I had the same experience. They are fantastic cars for city driving and to use as company cars, cheap to buy and run. But man, I wouldn't want one of those as a replacement for mine. I'm not much of a car guy, but the power difference was absurd, and of course all the little creature comforts that go with it as well. But it felt solid, and it's a good looking car, so an obvious choice for those in that market.

It's called the Up! Vista, and you pay extra for the glass to last.
