So i just came back from JHB, picked the inverter up. I spoke to one of the technicians and asked him what could have been the cause of me getting an F34 AC Overload error right after a firmware upgrade has been done. He asked me if the inverter was under load. I told him the load must have been about 800w or so. He said that's the problem and that's why the lower PCB blew.
There is not supposed to be any load on the inverter while a firmware update takes place. So i said that i can not determine when the update takes place as you request it on the website and they do it whenever they get to it. So he said I should specify a time that suits me when i request the update. To make sure the inverter is bypassed and no load is present.
Don't know what to make of this. As I have done one previous update and all were fine. As did many of you guys also do updates at any random time and did not have issues.
Anyway, my inverter is back home and being installed tomorrow.
