Warning: Mweb will slow down heavy Internet users

So when that 3% leave, and they surely will. The next top 3% will be next .. and so on .... Its a magic freaking number, never goes away.

To be honest, I remember reading a post here on this forum where it was said that liars or fraudsters will generally pull the number 3 from the air when lying or deceiving someone. This says a lot about Mweb and their sh**!

Attached pic is my cousins usage.
It is himself, his mom and dad.

All they do is email, watch little bit of youtube and play Facebook games (they are on a 2mb uncapped premium account)

So for someone that has family of 4, that games , watches catchup, downloads a bit , emails etc. it is easy then to reach triple this amount...

At ~20GB per day they're watching a heck of a lot of YouTube... pull the other one.

I don't disagree with your sentiment, but there's no way three ppl would generate that amount of traffic just for email, Youtube and Facebook.

Almost a shame to use that little on an uncapped package.

Not really. That was the actual design of these home uncapped accounts. To take our minds off caps and use the internet freely, not to back it up.

Power users need a power account.

This is what I'm interested in seeing, whether cropping off the 3% as well as the rest of the people who left will bring the usage down to an acceptable level. I doubt anyone who is still on MWeb would aspire to start abusing their lines JUST because the 3% are gone.

Seems like Mweb doesn`t understand how word of mouth works, people ask the 3%`ers for advise on which ISP they should should use. There`s no way in hell I would suggest MWEB again. Don`t know if i`m one of the 3% though, I try to be.... if only my downloads didn`t go so slow.

maybe culling the 3% would speed things up for the rest of us who aspire to be part of this exclusive club that manages to download 100s of gigs in a month.

Just convinced my third client to cancel their Mweb account this morning.

Not out of spite, just giving them the best advice as the premium prices are definitely not worth it anymore.

When did I say this?

You must be the single most ignorant person on the whole forum.

Even worse than Swa. And that's saying a lot.

Dude you are constantly saying its normal accounts and they should be as such where as its been proven to be all types of accounts from capped, normal and small business accounts.

Only "ignorant" person here is you.

You can't seem to grasp why we are clearly been done in and because of this your new tactic is to abuse the RBP system. I've reported it as such.

Well I'm canceling my mweb premium account and moving over to Telkom (shivers) for now.
They didn't drop their prices saying the provide a better service bla bla bla, and then later launch cheaper accounts to compete and rename the originals one to premium, and now they going to throttle everyone.
Cheers.

When I cancelled my Mweb Premium Uncapped bundle, I moved my line back to Telkom (epic mess thanks to Mweb) and then organised a 25% discount on ADSL rental via Telkom (rental drops to around 300 bucks). I then took a Afrihost Business Uncapped (4MB) account and am impressed with the performance - online gaming, streaming (Twitch / Youtube), VOIP, VPN - all just works and performs incredibly well.

To the author and friends of this thread, I understand your issues, I had them to with MWEB, I'm with axxess now, but in the end of the day, its all about business and not charity for mweb ...sh*t is getting more expensive day by day due to cANCer and thier friends and we need more money to survive and to be able to afford all you cant eat sushi and spur specials now and then..... look at the rand dropping.. :/

So my advice is simple... stop moaning like a bit*h and change your ISP like the rest of us did! ..I'm with axxess and I've never been offline, ..they only sucked when they used to be on the seacom and IS uplink.. down for DAYS!!! IS uncapped accounts suck, and seacom sucks in general

After nearly two weeks of marathon threads on the issue I'd have thought it's quite clear that only the ignorant don't recognise the need for bandwidth management. It does however not excuse them for going about the matter in a laughably terrible fashion. I'm still not sure whether their own actions were intentionally crafted or simply poorly advised though.

This killed Sentech, this neutered iBurst, I expect to see Mweb in the same ditch in little time at all.

There are always claims about it being a fractional user base, but if 3% of your users can screw up your network.....you have a pretty ****ty network there pal. iBurst claimed it was 12 of us, Sentech I think 8! Ah PR bull at its finest.
