How many people are getting spam that seems to come from legitimate chat contacts???

In case anyone is wondering, I used Sandboxie to see what kind of virus it actually is. They ask you to download a screensaver and if you click download, you get this:

Thanks antowanEvery forum needs someone who's willing to say "Ah, stuff it" and just download what they know to be a virus to keep someone else from doing it

Are you sure that xxx didn't just have a very weak password for their Skype username & account? - Skype contacts are persisted on Skype's servers, so logging in from any PC running Skype allows access to the same list of contacts, which is how a hacker would have known that you're one of xxx's Skype contacts.
Another possibility is that some malware has found its way on to xxx's PC and is controlling xxx's PC remotely...
At least I know they won't be able to figure out my password very easily![]()
