Watch out for this Vodacom scam

Vodacom has warned customers to be aware of a scam where fraudsters attempt to harvest personal information.

The company said several customers have been asked to provide personal information by fraudsters pretending to be Vodacom by using a fake Facebook account.

Well they (the fraudsters) know that there are people out there stupid enough to believe that posting a status update regarding their privacy settings will be enough to prevent Mark Zuckerberg from sneaking into their pc while they sleep and stealing their photos and whatnot. So why not try this as well...

My thoughts exactly.

So ironic that they pretend to care about their customers by issueing warnings about scams yet they're probably the biggest corporate scammer in the country.

I cannot fathom how anyone with even half a brain can still pay this company actual money.
