HERE. There is nothing that comes close. I'm roaming in Dubai today and have no data connection, yet have used it 3 times today offline for different destinations.
 
ROFL. HERE Maps has got Afrikaans navigation voice. It is so weird to hear phone phone praat Afrikaans! lol. Replaced dem femnazi with a male voice. I aint gonna be told by no female how to drive. tsk :mad:

Here is a proper off line satnav, entire country map is downloaded, it is the new version of Nokia Drive which derived from Garmin. Available for Android and iOS, and I think called Here Drive+ on WinPhone.
 
In 2007 Nokia bought the world's largest GIS/maps company, the US-based Navteq. It was later renamed to HERE. Navteq/Here provide the maps for many branded GPS and GIS systems, including Garmin and BMW.

Used it this morning to see how it navigates. One thing that stood out is that if you dont take the route it wants you to or if you miss a turn, it reroutes almost instantly. Waze and google takes a bit of time to do this.

Does HERE have dynamic rerouting taking real time traffic conditions into consideration like WAZE?

I also noticed Maps going wonky on me the last couple of times! wonder what's causing it?

It usually shows me the delay due to traffic, but has never routed me around it. Maybe there wasn't a faster route available.
 
I can't use Waze as a map guide. I am getting confused in the areas I know very well.
It is just for traffic info.
 
The women don't want you to go straight Ockie........
I Only use WAZE
