what k@k. waited at fnb westville in dbn since 5.55am - 1st in line. get to the cashiers after filling in the forms - 9.03am - still 1st in line... systems on snail mode. fail. tried repeatedly at the head of the line - over and over as the system kept crashing and timing out - showing cat 4 tickets available for all games I had wanted, only to not allow the transactions due to the time out - which by 9.30am showing every cat4 sold out/unavailable. how? if every branch in the country was at a standstill as we were being told, then how is that possible?

eventually at 3pm, with the system showing everything i wanted Sold out and unavailable, we opted for a cat2 semi final in durban, taking just 2 tickets for our 8-10 hours of waiting and sitting at the head of the line.

Same story at the Sea Point FNB - I got my tickets online but a friend went through hell.
By lunch time, they were on number 13 in the line, the bank had closed its doors to ticket-buyers and customers alike, the staff didn't know what to do with themselves and the queue was a crowd of people either standing/sititng/lying down/sleeping/eating lunch/crying/contemplating suicide. And this is all in a bank.

Besides for the brand exposure, massive fail for FIFA and FNB.

No the system got overloaded.

You can compare it to the internet. If its slow its cause a lot of people are using it at the same time. Its causes it to be slow. So some applications goes through but some don't cause its overloaded. Its not dead it was overloaded.
 
does currently not available mean those where the tickets allocated to cash sales and they dont know if any are left?

why couldnt they have done this in the first place, online not counter sales, instead of that retarded draw???
 
Couldn't get Slovenia vs England today, so I spent 4 hours in a que for nothing. At least I have my other 5 games.
