i am prepared to listen, to someone with intelligence that is. Zuma is the joke of the world. South Africa is now going to be the laughing stock of the entiree planet.

Yes you did say give him a chance and i said no, because he is way under-educated than mandela or mbeki.
 
I'm not debating his level of intelligence. He was born on a farm, he herded cattle. He didn't get a chance to have the education the rest of us got. I am not going to judge him for that. I'm going to wait and see what he does. I judge people on their actions not where they come from.

Excuse me, dont play that card. Mbeki, and Mandela are both educated and have much higher intelligence than him. And they where imprisoned if im not mistaken. Then i say this someone who is educated should be the person in charge of a country, not some farm herder. Sorry as harsh as it sounds, this country needs a level headed, intelligent person. I am all for black empowerment, i am not a racist nor a black hater, in this time especially with america screwing up the global economic. We can only hope he doesn't relieve Trevor manual.

Of course they do. Zim happened because the opposition started challenging the former liberation party. And as you can see, the ANC is doing everything possible to ensure that the opposition here doesn't challenge the former liberation party.

It's quite simple when you think about it. (Well, it would have to be, wouldn't it...)

Yes and i also said no matter how many tantrums we throw he is going to be the president.
So give the dude a go. Believe me i do not like Zummatello Inkwenke and their Zoombies but we have to make the best out of the situation.

There is a big cultural difference between the Xhosas and the Zulu's. I remember in the late 80's and early 90's when the people marched for freedom the guys in Transvaal were hooligans rampaging, the guys is Natal were a silent mass off people marching i remember the electricity in the crowd but not one window was smashed or a car scratched. I also voted IFP the first time i could vote because i grew up with these people and have immense respect for the Zulu culture.
 
Mandela is an icon so i think it's unfair to compare anyone to him as nobody will measure up. Mbeki grew up in a privileged household. Both his parents were university graduates and there were a large assortment of books in his home. He didn't even matriculate here he took his British A-levels and attended London University. So i'm sorry but you are comparing apples with oranges.

I hear what you are saying, and trust me i want to give this guy a chance but his antics and the way he has carried himself over the past few months seriously leads me to believe otherwise.

Actually im comparing your black people with black people, the **** you keep going on about. because of the apartheid. Let someone else take his seat that doesn't know how to optimally milk a cow.

Me too. I do not like him to begin with.But i guess that great granny of mine travelling over the drakensberge ( kaalvoet ) is talking to me saying, you are not going anywhere make the best of the situation. How bad can he be we had a Verwoerd. What will happen to me if this becomes a Zim i'll flee to the UK like they did.

What i was getting at, is that people say apartheid was the reason they couldn't get there education. So mbeki was educated, mandela was educated, from the sounds of it the new guy is educated, cant spell his name mohlante or something. Mbeki started going against the anc policies what do they do kick him out.

No matter what you say Serqet, i still dont believe a accused rapist, and Shabir shaik cooperator should be in power.
 
I have to say that people in general aren't honest about who they vote for anyway... huge numbers of people told me they were tired of the ANC, but obviously they all lied, because with close to 67% of the vote, basically everybody that voted ANC last time did so again.

Apartheid is a factor in why some people did not receive an education. I do not appreciate people who use it as an excuse as we all have choices to make and Zuma is now in the position where he could educate himself if he so wishes. I agree with you.

Mbeki got pushed out because he stopped listening to anyone and started doing his own thing. Within the confines of a political party who are in power you can see how that would piss a lot of people off and he was uprooted.

I don't believe an accused rapist and alleged corrupt man is good for this country either. But he is one man. He is not the ANC. So with all this said i'm going to sit back and see what unfolds before i start assuming this country is going to the dogs. Are any of you wrong for feeling this way and being worried? Of course not, but at least be mature enough to allow the chips to fall where they may. If you don't like where the chips are falling then by all means bon voyage. That is my POA.

+1 it depends where you went in exile. Not all went to the UK. Zuma was in Moz. Madiba was in jail not much to do on an island..
