New online store Bash tested — with promising results

MyBroadband tested the new Bash online store from The Foschini Group and was impressed by the quick service, considering the store is still in the beta stage.

TFG launched Bash earlier this month, offering consumers over 200 brands from popular South African stores, including Foschini, @home, Markham, TotalSports, Sterns, and American Swiss.

These are all the stores I mostly avoid.
They mainly cater for people that buy expensive crap they can't afford, with store cards.

My advice is stay away. Tried ordering twice. Both times they cancelled the order citing no stock. Yet these items still remain on their website.

Nothing on the returns process?

Guess you were not paid to expose that for us, Wikus?

Probably need to work on their logistics a bit. Must be difficult keeping track of stock in stores all over the country.
If they're entering the online shopping space, one would think that's the first thing they would look at that needs to work.
Today's feedback from them is for me to make separate purchases from different stores. That defeats the purpose of shopping online imo.

First and last time using them.

Useless twats have :

- taken 3 days to deliver (which is slower than competitors, but still OK)
- delivered the wrong items
- are making it entirely impossible to speak to a human (knowledge articles on returns process suck, bots suck, waiting for chat agents seems like you'll die of old age first)

Never again - their competitors are faster and better.
