Web Africa - 1 June. Going uncapped?

*Taps watch in an attempt to hurry the arms of time along*

Really like what WA is doing lately with all the competitions and announcements. Adds some excitement and fun to the brand and is certainly spreading the good word.

Kudos to their marketing team.

Herp a derp.

Whoever paused time and made all threads, Facebook and Twitter cease with baited breath...
Stop it.

Thanks.

Thanks Conack,

Really appreciate the feedback :)

Hi Guys and Gals,

The official announcement goes out tomorrow morning at 10am with full details, but I am so excited about the launch I can't hold back - hope Cliff (WA Head of Product and Marketing) doesn't whack me over the head for this, but here it goes - as many Mybb'ers have correctly guessed the new DSL product is called Home Connect and is basically super value, High Cap accounts with blended peak/off-peak data, packed with the same excellent quality bandwidth that everyone has come to know and love with WA.

Don't want to say too much more right now, but the standard pricing comes out at roughly R10 per GB.

Sorry Cliff, Rupert sold you out :D

Sounds great, can't wait to get the full details :) 20GB (10GB + 10GB D+) for R200 and 30GB (15GB + 15GB D+) for R300 would be great mainstream packages.

Sounds awesome..

Looking forward to tomorrow's detailed revelations! And thanks a lot for giving us the sneaky tidbit, we can now sleep with a knowing smile and put the cold F5 tapping fingers to bed :P

It's an early start for everyone at WA :)
Anyone have any idea's so far? Time to go hunting for the infoz :p

So WA did a reshuffle of their products to take advantage of the interest surrounding the off-peak period.

I am so pleased WA did not go uncapped.

I guess that as one of the lucky people on the MyBB special, this will not have anything to offer me, but am sure for many it will be a great product. Good niche marketing

Is the off-peak period from 7pm - 7am now applicable to all existing users as well?

That is definitely an improvement from the previous 12am - 6am.

The download plus option at the bottom still indicates it to be the former however.

The peak and off-peak is only available to the new Home Connect products. Give one of our Sales Superstars a shout and they can sort you out :) Download Plus is still applicable for the late night surfers and downloaders.

What package are you currently on and which package are you looking at as a comparison?
